Photo Info
My last day in New York I went to the Empire state building. It was cloudy
and cold, so no one wanted to go, and I had almost the entire observation
deck to myself. Of course you couldn't see much up there in the clouds but
white, and few things straight almost down. I stayed up there for about 3
hours shooting whenever there was a break in the clouds. The images for
this panorama were shot with luck as a cloud higher then the rest passed
over. I only had a few seconds to compose and shoot. With no tripod on
hand, I swiveled my body as steady as I could between shots. The negatives
are about half cloud and half skyline, and I cropped out much of the cloud
for this panorama. It might be a bit more grainier then other images on a
large scale print. The image Cloudy City was
taken moments before this and just to the left. |
