Its Easy to order a print of a Photograph or Panorama:

  2. When you would like to make a purchase, simply select your print size, paper type, and quantity in the form just below the image or description of the photograph.

  3. Click the button to add your selection to the secure shopping cart, provided by PayPal.

  4. You can then complete the transaction using either:

    • your Paypal account (if you have one)

    • Or any major Debit/Credit card:

  5. Upon completing your transaction through PayPal, I will be notified by e-mail of your order. I will send your photograph to be printed, and the print will be mailed directly to the shipping address you provide in the paypal checkout. The Print(s) will be rolled in a tube for safe shipping, because flat envelopes are easily damaged.

Of course, my logo "www.billymabrey.com" on the images on this website will not be on the print you purchace. That would be crazy!

Shipping and handling costs are $6 per print ordered.

Print Size Categories

Images will be adjusted to fit within the size you choose when you order a print. All prints will have at least a 1/4 inch border of white to allow for framing.

Some print sizes have slightly different proportions then the photographs. As a result there will be thicker white borders on the shorter sides of the image.

*Panorama prices are about 75% of the price of normal prints, because they are narrower in proportion and use less paper.
A panorama is any image whose height to width ratio is narrower then 1:2
(some panorama prints are sized 1:3 to conserve paper, shown in parenthesis).

Framing

** Currently, I do not have any options available for framed or matted prints **

Red HillGum Bichromate Photographs

Gum Bichromate Prints are Handmade Photographs. Each Print is a unique piece, signed by me.

Pricing is determined by:

  • the time it took to make the piece,
  • material costs,
  • the print's aesthetic value or quality.

Most prints are Artist Proofs, meaning there is only one unique print. Soon I hope to print my newer gum bichromate photographs in series of approximately 5 prints.

Some Gum Bichromate Prints are already Matted and Framed.

Paper Information

The company I print with uses HP Designjet 5000 ink jet printers, HP #81 dye, and Kodak Premium Photographic paper.

I think the inkjet prints look wonderful myself.

There are 3 paper types to choose from:

  •     heavy weight photo glossy
  •     heavy weight photo satin
  •     heavy weight photo matte

I recommend the satin paper myself.

  • Glossy papers reflect light in more direct paths then matte papers. This has the optical effect of deepening the darker areas of images and makes images look richer.

  • Matte prints are not as optically deep, however they have no glare and would be suitable for display in rooms with large windows that could cause glare.

  • Satin, or semi-gloss, is a halfway point between glossy and matte paper types. It retains the richness in the darks, but reduces the amount of glare reflected off a print. Consideration of where the print is do be displayed should come into consideration when choosing paper type.

Fade Resistance: the prints will last a good 10-15 years in normal indoor lighting conditions before any signs of fading appear. If kept under glass, they will last longer.

The prints are susceptible to Water Damage! Make sure you have dry hands when handling.

*Fraud prevention:

If a user of this site is to alter pricing information in the html for their own benefit before placing an order through PayPal at an altered price, I will consider it a fraudulent act. I will be aware of the fraud by a difference in my posted prices and actual payments received through PayPal. I will report the attempted fraud to PayPal. A fraudulent transaction, like a legitimate transaction, is processed instantly. All fraudulent funds transferred to my account are in my possession at the completion of the transaction. I am obligated to keep any funds transferred in an attempted fraud as a fee for reporting the user's fraudulent attempt to PayPal. No print will be shipped to a user attempting fraud.

Of course, all legitimate orders, where the price has not been altered, will be completed as normal.
