Finally I had some free time and went to Main Street in
Grapevine to use my digital rebel. I shot this with three different
exposures with long shutter speeds and combined them in Photoshop for a
full range of values. I also corrected the perspective. This is City Hall,
not a terribly new building but I still remember when there was a snow
cone hut and Bartley's Barbecue sitting there. Mmm delicious BBQ. They
moved a few blocks away to a new store when they built this place. I
wonder what happened to the brick on Bartley's wall that I wrote my name
on?
The man on the building is actually a statue representing
a night watchman holding a lantern. In this shot there was a quarter moon
which gives the image a nice touch.
